Ok i guess.
Applaud.
Nice. I can't really get in-depth with my review because it plays just like the actual song. It was good though. I liked it. Appreciate it man. The memories and all. 0:42 the chords don't seem to have the right bass notes or harmony at the low. The chord sounds slightly different from the original version. So I can't give it a ten because that my favorite and the chord doesn't ring right... Great stuff though.
Sounds like trance, Feels like trance...
Kicks like techno. It wasn't that flavorful for me. It vibes though and it does that well. Overall I didn't find anything wrong with any of the structure. It was a good trance song. Only part that grabbed me was around 2:43. Those chord changes were sexy. It's a good song though. Ambient. I felt kinda like I was waiting for something the entire time that didn't ever happen. It starts but never really moves to the next step. It never excels upward even with the constant building sound used as the sliding buzzes and things. The thing never turns up it's notch. And it also didn't resolve itself that well. Lots of snare intros and such but it never grabs like it needs to excite the trance in me. *Sigh.*
*Sigh*
Ok. That voice really kills this for me. The music is good. But that voice is not good enough. I give the song a 9 and the voice a 5. So overall it's a 7 for me.
Yeah I hear it.
I like the drums. They go nicely with the bassline and the hi hats. But the piano is to toy like. It sounds very unpiano like. You need to REVERB it. Give it a light echo to generate the actual feel of a real piano as the strings inside continue to vibrate after the note is pressed. Instead of this very flat piano sound here with more a harpsichord feel. It was alright man. It was techno. Everything besides the piano is fine and the pads could have used more depth. More chords inside them. It's ok though.
Ehh.
I didnt like the melody that much. And It does sound out of tune- around 1:00 and beyond. Dissonance between the strings and the buzz. And it continues as it seems the bass isn't exactly in tune it self. It's very mushy all in all. It's really long to just repeat itself like this. I can't give it higher than a five. Because the one trance waterdrop sound is nice. The strings line would have been better suited for a low pad of sorts. It was ok.
Nuh Uh.
Not Complex enough. And the melodies are to weird. I don't really like the chord changes either. Sound oddly like a NES song at times.
Blah.
Works. I like it. the bells are what make me listen to it though. Nice bells.
Alright lets get this review started.
Good beginning very god. Those pads are very reflexive of the piano and definitely helps it flow in. The piano itself is good. The snare intro was fine The snare quater hit and the kick is great idea with the chasse countering them well on the 1 + and of the 4. Good construction on it all. The song very well counters itself. And the kick drop at 0:47 was implemented well and the pickup around 1:06 was again good. Good shit DJ. You never fail to please. That's probably why your all across the Audio Portal. I applaud this.
The Portal tells no lies.
I guess this is one of the best tracks here. But than again I hadn't heard every track here. It was pretty good. Around 0:50 secs it was nice with the 8th notes and all. I think it could have used some pads in the back instead of just plucks repeating themselves. And the long note at around 1:49 was kinda eeeh for me. Hit or miss with that. Overall it was fine. Needs more complexity to be a truly top-notch trance song. But as a loop it was good.
first of all thx for the great review. sience it was my first song ever, there was a really big possibility that i'm missing something. and about the pads-i've submitted a remake of this song so i think you'll hear it there =)
